A Space for You

I offer a warm, compassionate, and collaborative approach to therapy, meeting you with care wherever you are on your journey. Together, we'll explore what you're experiencing, make sense of your emotions, and identify what you need to feel more supported. I provide guidance and structure while honoring your pace, helping therapy feel safe.

As we work together, many clients begin to feel more grounded, hopeful, and connected to themselves. You can expect to build insight, confidence, and practical tools that help you navigate challenges with greater ease. Over time, therapy can open the door to clarity, emotional relief, and a renewed sense of strength and possibility.

Meet the Therapist

I'm Alexa B. Wright, and I am a Kansas City native! I love exploring KC and spending my free time with my three dogs and cat. I am a passionate social worker grounded in equality and self-determination. I graduated from the University of Central Missouri with my Bachelor of Social Work in 2018 and began working directly with families in the foster care system. In 2021, I graduated from the University of Kansas with my Master of Social Work. My experience includes working directly in schools in the Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools district. In addition to supporting children and families, I provide individual therapy to adults. I love finding the mix of therapy modalities that works best for you. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy, strength-based approaches, solution-focused therapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to tailor treatment to your unique needs. We will make a plan together, and we can adapt it as your needs and goals evolve. I hope I can be a part of your journey toward becoming more confident in yourself!

Benefits of Private Pay

Private pay allows you to engage in care with fewer restrictions. Insurance companies require the therapy provider to submit a diagnosis and documentation after each session to support the “medical necessity” of your treatment. Without insurance limitations, your information stays private and you have flexibility in both the length and number of sessions. Your treatment is guided by you and the therapist only.
